Aziza Cano

Aziza Cano is in her first semester at Santa Barbra City College. She is studying early childhood education, and psychology. Her interests include, sports, literature, networking, and advocating for the rights of blind students. Previously, she has served as CABS secretary. She is also involved in the NFB on a local level with a student support group and her local chapter. Having dealt with discrimination, and a lack of support as a blind high school student, Cano strives to do what she can to prevent other students from having to experience what she went through. She hopes that her active role in the areas of student based concerns in the National Federation of the Blind will allow her to take part in systemic changes that will benefit students seeking an equal opportunity education.
