There will be several new and important seminars
this year. The Chapter on Aging will
hold a special Seniors Seminar on Thursday.
Our senior population is growing quickly as Americans live longer and
healthier lives. However, aging poses
challenges and more people than ever before are facing vision loss during their
otherwise healthy, “golden years.” The
San Francisco Chapter is hosting an Employment Seminar Friday evening to
address employment issues which continue to be a major obstacle for people who
are blind. And Friday afternoon, a
special Technology Seminar for educators and parents
of blind children will be held. Also new
this year will be a special Awards Breakfast on Sunday morning. Everyone who pre-registers for the convention
will receive a free ticket for this meal event.
Another change this year will be that our exhibit hall will be open on
Thursday afternoon as well as all day Friday.
We are very honored to
have Dr. Maurer as our National representative at this year’s convention. Pre-registration forms have been distributed
