April Bulletin

by NFBCal

Greetings Fellow Federationists,

New Branding: Who We Are and What We Do
I want to start this bulletin with some great news about the new branding of the National Federation of the Blind.  After many months of research and soul searching we have a new one minute message which can be thought of as the “elevator speech”.  I believe you will agree that encompasses who we are and what we do.  Here it is:

“The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future.  Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams.  You can have the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.”

Shop at Amazon Smile and Support the NFB of California
The Amazon Smile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products on a quarterly basis to the National Federation of the Blind of California.  All you have to do is:

  1. Click on the link below or go to www.smile.amazon.com, which will take you directly to Amazon Smile. If you use this link, The National Federation of the Blind of California Inc is already selected as your chosen organization.
  2. Shop as usual and shop often!  Our affiliate will automatically receive your donation.  As far as I can tell most products seem to be eligible.
