Senior Security Officers

Senior Security Officers are Emergency Medical Technicians, and even after being extensively trained for three to four weeks upon starting their posion, it still often takes as much as six months of working full time before they are confident in their ability to handle all aspects of their job.

Sharon "Chihuahua" [EMT at SSD] is a fiesty little one, (emphasis on little.)  She gets up at 4:00 AM, feeds her dog and 17 cats, then goes to work day shift and is always full of energy, even at the crack of dawn.

Leonard [EMT at STL, ARC, and SSD] is the classic “works hard and plays hard” kind of guy. He hangs out with a rough crowd off the job, but is the model employee on the job. After a rough day hunting down fugitives as a bounty hunter, or putting out fires as a volunteer fire fighter, he was always ready to tackle any assignments and tasks with a professional, customer service focus.

James "Huckelberry" [EMT at SSD, STL, and ARC] is an easy-going, happy-go-lucky guy. (Ladies, he would also like to add that he is single!) In addition to working full time at IBM, he is also a professional chef and, after over a year of training, is close to becoming Paramedic. And you thought becoming an EMT/Security officcer at IBM was a lengthy process! James' positive attitude makes even the roughest shifts go by like smoothly finished woodwork.

Amy "Marshmmallow" [EMT at SSD Site] is living testimony to the the saying, “big things come in little packages.” She is an animate, and joyful, person who has a lively spirit that brings out the liveliness in all of us. With her expressive writing and conversation skills, wild sense of humor, and lighthearted attitude, she has the ability to make the darkness that is grave shift seem like a sunny summer day. Amy works part time with us and full time as a manager for Cafe Primavera. She and Tammy are best friends and share an appartment together in San Jose.

Mike [EMT at SSD, STL, and ARC] is very polite person, who we hired from Great America. He, in turn, referred several of his co-workers who were EMTs.  The cluster of people hired on with us from Great America, turned out to be among the finest class of employees we have ever hired, and was our salvation when Senior Officer staffing was at it's lowest in over a decade.  He now works part time with us and full time at Kaiser as an Emergency Room tech.

Tim [EMT at SSD and STL] works day shift with me and is always cool under fire. When the going gets tough, he shrugs off the tention and just does it.
