Recent Destinations ... Xian, China

March 2003

One of Xian's more recent warriors. Well, transient husband warrior, that is.

Another friendly warrior. With a cane attendant.

A replica of one of the terra-cotta warriors, and the photographer.

Armed with fresh batteries for the finicky camera, and a belly full of lunch, we headed for the Great Wall at Badaling.

This section of the wall has been heavily restored.

.

Yep, there's still snow out there, and it was nippy as you climb the hills on the spine of the wall.

Sorta looks like a snake making its way away from the tourists.

What tourist site wouldn't be complete without a little graffiti.

Pal AJ Nordley ponders what to shoot next . . .

An aerial tram makes its way Northwest of the wall . . .

It's a mellow day on the wall, and the weather is perfect when you have a fur coat.

Next stop: The Forbidden City (day two)
