Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum

My petunia lovin' man and I wander through the museum and head out to see a race or two.

Down to the home stretch they race, running 1 1/8 miles in just over 2 minutes. These animals can reach 40 MPH in three strides. Amazing!

I figured these two would come in first and second ... and they came in for a photo finish!

This leader made a little girl's day when he stopped for a pat -- looks like the horse is enjoying it as much as she is! It was pretty humid and warm out there on the last week of the spring racing season.

On Friday, we toured the American Printing House for the Blind.
